Who I am

My personal life:

Art has always been my escape, and it's also my first love, and first long-term relationship. It has aided me through the bad times, and uplifted me through the good times.

My name is Zoya Marie, I am an artist, a Christ follower, and a practitioner of magic. I would say my art style is "creepy & cute".

I was born in Bad Windsheim, Bavaria, Germany on February 2nd, 1998, but now reside in sunny Florida and have been for over 20 years. One day I would love to visit Germany to see everything I missed since my family left when I was just an infant. My heritage stems from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Poland, and Ireland.

I began very early on in life drawing with both hands, but later, my left hand became my dominant hand. To this day I still utilize both of my hands when creating art, although the left is still the dominant hand.

I love the sun, I love the warmth, but my favorite parts about Florida is the Sun-showers, the storms, and the plethora of animals and flora that co-exist with me.

I have a fascination of higher dimensions and dedicated a part of my life to learning as much as I can about them as well as life exisiting outside of our planet.

My biggest artistic influence is Salvador Dali- he is the love of my life artistically. I want to be me, but I also want to be Dali.

My languages are English, partially Spanish, and American Sign Language and I'm eager to learn more languages.

My Education:

In high school I took AP 2D Art, and various other 2D and 3D art classes.
After I graduated in 2017, I focused on learning and becoming inspired further through different artist, galleries, museums and even YouTube. I also furthered my education by going to college and will be graduating in the Fall of 2024 with my A.A degree in Art! And can not wait to further my art education, whether that's through school, or through experiences.

Final Thoughts:

My first gallery appearance was at the LeRoux Body Art and Adornments gallery exhibition: LORE, in Tampa, I'll always be grateful for that first step into displaying my art, and really going head first such a diverse, and open community.

I'm so thankful to my family, friends and my boyfriend Kenny, who have continued to be my number one fans, and have openly supported me and my artistry.
